Monique Barber, MS, NCC, LPC
Monique offers a compassionate approach to counseling, seeing individuals as capable of achieving change and growth. She is currently pursuing certification as a Poetry Therapist – an expressive form of counseling that offers people another way to achieve their therapeutic goals. She is happy to be a part of the Caregiver Support team at the Counseling Center – helping those individuals who care for others so they can find balance and calm in their lives. Monique graduated from the Marriage and Family Counseling program with an addictions emphasis at Northwest Nazarene University. In 2018, she served as an NBCC Addictions Counseling Minority Fellow, in which she researched the strengths of young, minority couples in recovery. She has a BA in English Literature with a minor in addiction studies from Boise State University.
