I hope to be able to accompany you in your personal growth and healing. Walking alongside those who have experienced trauma, mental health struggles, and relationship difficulties has been a long-time passion of mine. Whether you are an individual, couple, or family, I believe that your own unique inner strengths and experiences hold the key to finding and creating peace. Painful life experiences can be navigated and processed through awareness, compassion, understanding, and love. I would be honored to accompany you on your healing journey toward the changes you would like to see in your life and in your relationships.
Elena earned her Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Idaho State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board-Certified Counselor, and a member of the Sigma Iota Counseling and Professional Honor Society International. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and adheres to their professional and ethical standards. She has received her Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy and has a background in Elementary Education.
Elena strives to collaborate with you to create a safe, warm, trusting, and non-judgemental counseling relationship in which every patient can untangle root issues and access their own unique inner resources to gain personal insight. In practice, she incorporates Person-Centered, Jungian, Emotion Focused (EFT), and Existential approaches, as well as art therapy, expressive therapies, and mindfulness. She believes that self-awareness is a continuous, creative process and the inherent, unique, and positive qualities each individual has create the spark toward their own growth and discovery of self within the interconnectedness of life. Elena has studied Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, Anthroposophy, and Curative Art Therapy. She is fluent in French.
