Dr. Tiffany Nielson, Ph.D., LPC (ID)

Counselor

I view the therapeutic experience as a shared journey, grounded in collaboration, compassion, and authenticity. Human nature is to yearn for and need safe and secure relationships. My role as a counselor is to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship to create a balance of acceptance and challenge that can be transformative for growth. Likewise, when providing couple or family counseling, facilitating experiences that re-establish trust and safety are an essential component of the therapeutic work. Overall, my work is grounded in humanistic, experiential, and systemic frameworks, particularly informed by the works of Virginia Satir and Sue Johnson.

Tiffany Nielson has a master’s degree in Marital, Couple and Family Counseling and a PhD in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University.
