Dr. Alyse M. Anekstein, Ph.D., LPC (ID), NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I primarily work from an integrated person-centered theoretical approach and transpersonal theory framework and I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative experience. This is based in the belief that patients take an active role in their own self-discovery and have the potential for transformative growth. My role as a counselor is to provide an empathetic and genuine environment that allows me to non-judgmentally enter your world and support you to be your unique self to reach your full capacity. My focus involves helping the patient through physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of a holistic and wellness based approach. I incorporate several techniques such as play therapy, sandtray therapy, mindfulness, and expressive arts in the counseling process.
