Dr. Beth Toler, Th.D., LMFT (GA, ID, PA)

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I believe that health and healing emerge through relationships and spaces where you feel valued, understood, respected, and free to bring your whole self into the work of therapy. Healing is not about quick fixes, but about deep transformation, a process that often includes discovering your meaning and purpose, reconnecting to your inherent worth, and creating new ways of relating to yourself and others. I see therapy as a collaborative and compassionate process, where growth unfolds through curiosity, courage, and the belief that change is always possible.

Dr. Toler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over twenty years of clinical experience. She holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University, a Th.D. and LMFT training from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, and an advanced certificate in Clinical Supervision from Smith College School for Social Work. In addition to her clinical work, she is a graduate-level professor and ordained minister who brings a depth of experience from academic, ministry, and therapeutic settings. Dr. Toler’s counseling approach is collaborative, relational, holistic, and grounded in a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. Drawing from psychodynamic, systemic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based perspectives, her work fosters emotional, relational, and spiritual integration and well-being. She provides a safe, affirming, and hope-filled space for individuals, couples, and families navigating concerns related to depression, anxiety, gender and sexuality, grief and loss, divorce, spirituality, relationships, aging, and personal growth. She also has experience in working with individuals, couples, and families facing complex life transitions, or navigating issues related to severe mental illness. Dr. Toler’s style is warm, thoughtful, and engaging; and sometimes laughter is a part of the process too.

When not working, Beth can be found hiking with her dog, Olive; planning her next big trip; or waiting for college football season (Go Dawgs).
