Dr. Lynn Bohecker, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. Bohecker specializes in counselor education, clinical supervision, and marriage and family therapy. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Idaho, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia. She is a registered clinical supervisor and a nationally credentialed AAMFT Approved Supervisor.  She has specialized training and is seeking certification in Spiritual Integrated Psychotherapy. Dr. Bohecker has taught counselor education in secular and faith-based institutions of higher education and is a full professor at Liberty University. Her teaching interests include marriage and family specialization, research, assessment, and practicum and internship faculty supervision courses. Her research interests include an emphasis on spirituality and religion in counseling, group work, and counselor identity. In practice, Dr. Bohecker specializes in trauma and working with families. She has held leadership positions in the counseling field, has presented at the national, regional, and state level, and has published journal articles, book chapters and textbooks.  See link for her publications.
